GUARANTEE - HOW LONG THE BOOKS WONT ALTER
Book Design and Imaging

When I go to a publisher and ask them to print a book for me, normal ofset printing, in large quantities, eg. 1000, the publisher provides the information about the durability life-span of the binding and the ink.

The same happens if I go to a normal photo lab to print photographs. They print the photographs and advise me how long the colors will remain unchanged – taking always in consideration the way the photographs are stored.

I would have expected the same info to be provided by Blurb, for the books they produce and sell.

Most, if not all, goods, have an expiry date. Why not the Blurb books?

GUARANTEE - HOW LONG THE BOOKS WONT ALTER
Book Design and Imaging

Dear friends book makers.

I have so far produced 7 books and ordered over 100 copies. I am very satisfied with the result.

I have asked Blurb to provide, as they should, an indication as to how long the books (photos and binding) will not be altered appreciating that this indication is subject to how well the book is protected from extreme conditions.

Much to my regret Blurb cannot provide this information. Wont provide it!!!

I am sure that the equipment they use to print the photos and bind the pages, MUST provide this information. If Blurb does not provide the specifications of the product they sell, makes me wonder why?

Does any of you have any indication and/or experience for books produced before some years?

How do you find my request? Do you believe that Blurb, MUST give us a reply and an indication?

Thank you

George
