In Praise of Blurb Customer Service
Ordering and Shipping

Hello

I too had a problem with some lost packages from a large order in September and Blurb straight away set about sorting it out and sending the lost books, but these too went missing (Wrong track numbers) and again Blurb staff were only too obliging and ran another order 2 days before Christmas, these arrived a few days ago, thank you so much to Blurb for their help and support, its most welcomed.

I cannot wait to do my next 2 books.  Its been a great way to start the year.

Thanks again to all at Blurb.

What if it doesn't arrive?
Ordering and Shipping

I have a large order to place which is costing around $4000 USD, we have two choices of postage one is $60.00 the other is almost $800, if I choose the later we go over our cost price for the books!  Plus the Aussie dollar is crashing.

My question is, if I use the cheaper option, I’m not worried how long it takes as long as they arrive safe and sound, what I am worried about is if the order does get lost and not delivered what can be done, have I now lost my $4000 and Blurb smiles all the way to the bank.

Kathy can you address this for me.

 Regards

Enhancement - Work time tracker
BookSmart

Not sure if this has been asked for before, so sorry if it has.  I’d like to see an enhancement to Booksmart (if not already there!) where it can track the amount of time I work on a book, or at least the time it spends open.  This would be good (or maybe scary) so I could track the hours I spend working on a book for my own interest and when working out my cost price on my book.

Anyone else interested in something like this?

Thanks

What wrong with page connecting ?
Book Printing

I too have had some book issues and needed reprinting, mainly 1 had a page missing and the others had marks in the black pages, (Our books are 8×10 – 120+pages, no real binding issues) Blurb were great with providing a reprint service.

What I hope is that this binding issues soon becomes solved as we are about to embark on a project that will see us order 150-600 books, of 160pages!

Shipping news: Nontrackable, cheaper methods for Asia, Australia, Europe...
General Interest

Thanks Blurb, this will be so much better for us in Australia, it’s more than 50% cheaper to send via Swiss than UPS which recently has had problems with my parcels.

Postage - who wants an option to send books via the local postal service
General Interest

I have to say I was surprised by the postage cost, I bought the Blurb Book (40 pages) how to make books and it cost $20 to send to Australia, now I have ordered my first book which is 80 pages but postage for that is $39 quite surprised to see such a difference in cost, surely the books are not that much heavier, plus are the same size. (8×10)
