Font problem

I have found that when using Bookman Old Style font, (I haven’t tried others) that when I try to change the font to 16 point from the default I can’t unless I change it to 14 point, the 16 point. I have also found that if I change the font to 14 point and open the page again I can’t change the font size at all. I have to delete the page and recreate it. Is there some click/key combination that I am missing?

How do I change my "about the author" text
BookSmart
I created my profile without realizing that once I entered the "about the author" part that I wouldn’t be able to edit it. Am I missing something?
