General Interest
We are publishing a book for sale through the Blurb bookstore, which we anticipate will be block ordered by Swiss residents. When we receive packets from outside Switzerland containing saleable merchandise, we have to pay an import tax of approximately 7.6%, which relates to VAT (or, in German, Mehrwertsteuer). This is irrespective of the fact that this purchase tax has already been paid as part of the internet order process. Can we get a tax invoice with the delivery, to reclaim this purchase tax?
