Poor bookstore thumbnail
General Interest
Hi all, Before I say anything else, I’d like to praise the system you folks have in place here. Great service, competitively priced, and really interactive support system. But….! I just completed quite a large project (a 180 page hardcover to support the release of an audio album), and ordered a test copy. The majority of the images in the book were shot on film, and as such, have a rich amount of desirable grain. I’m aware that, while working in BookSmart, people have had issues with apparent loss of quality in the preview window, only to receive their final hard copy looking just fine. For this reason, I wasn’t too concerned that the grainy shots looked rather over-speckled in BookSmart, since I know they looked fine in test printouts. However, the same poor quality over-speckled look seems to have carried over into the bookstore page (http://www.blurb.com/my/book/detail/98600), and looks quite unprofessional. I would have no problem uploading my own preview image of the cover, if this was possible, but I don’t see any way of doing this. Am I missing something, or am I stuck with a poorly-resized cover image? Again, I don’t wish to moan too much, since your service is otherwise excellent, Cormac Phelan
