Where does Blurb print all the books?
Ordering and Shipping

Printing in the Netherlands and shipping to South Africa via UPS was a fantastic service in my experience. But be warned, Blurb can suddely, without warning, decide to print your books in the United States and shipping can take a great deal longer to other parts of the world. Swiss Post is no doubt great within Europe but my support goes to UPS elsewhere – despite the high cost

Shipping alternatives
Ordering and Shipping

Be warned – check the details of shipping. Without any warning your books can be printed in a different part of the world and the quick delivery you have experienced in the past can become a long delay. My previous experience was an incredibly efficient turn-around of 7 days with delivery to South Africa from the Netherlands. Now I face a turn around time of over 28 days with books being printed in the USA. Shipping choices have changed and charges have escalated incredibly. In addition ultimate service seems to have gone out the window. Consolation a new Blurb is bound to arise, the business model is great if you remember the customer.

First book, excellent results
Book Printing

Very happy with quality and most impressed with service and delivery time. 80 pages 10×8 soft cover photo intensive travel book Dordogne & Lot

As indicated in a post by another satisfied customer I made realistic adjustment to my photos and followed the guidelines on size, resolution and color and am more than happy with the outcome. I concur with the thinking that it is worth lightening some shots slightly with some increase in contrast.
