How to know who buys your book
Web Features
Hi Jack Thanks for the reply. I look forward to it being developed. Also, when do you think we will be able to upload hi res PDFs of our books if we want to design something more bespoke, or do you think it will always be through booksmart? Cheers Jim

How to know who buys your book
Web Features
It seems odd that the only way you can keep tabs on who has bought your book is if you sign up for the "set your price" option. I am not in the USA so for me that is not even an option. I much prefer Blurb over Lulu but with this faclility Blurb really fails to deliver. With Lulu I am emailed when a book is sold and it shows who has bought it. Surely this the first and foremost function any person selling books online would require? Be cool if this function was created, sooner rather than later :-)

Cannot see record of sales of my book
Web Features
Hi Allison I am in the UK. I looked at that option but I could see it was US only, is that the only way I can track my sales? I would have thought I would get an email or something to inform me of when a book sells? Seems a shame as I am now totally unaware of when my book sells and who has bought it :-( I have a number of photography friends who seemed keen, would have been nice to keep track.

Cannot see record of sales of my book
Web Features
I have just put a book live, I made my first sale last night, a friend bought a copy. However I can’t see anywhere on my account to inform me of the sale. I have looked in the sales section but there is nothing. Does it not register until it has been shipped? Should I get an email to inform me?

Cover image a little fuzzy
Book Printing
Hi Ben Not sure if you can see the cover of my book, I only have the one in my account. Anyhow, I wasn’t too keen on any of the predetermined templates in Booksmart. So in order to create my cover I created a cover completely in photoshop, and saved it at 100% the cover size dimensions and saved it as 300DPI. The whole cover is fine apart from the text that says ‘COMFORT ZONES" that is printing in the orange. The colour has what I can only describe as a very slight pixellated fuzz around its edge. My only assumption is that the covers are printed by a slightly different method to the inner pages so for some reason this colour hue, or the profile I have assigned (srgb) has reacted in some way with that colouration. It is the same thing on the spine too, which is just that line fo text but smaller, the black text is fine, but the orange has got the weird glow to it.

Cover image a little fuzzy
Book Printing
Hello, my first proof has arrived, it looks great but the front cover image, and especially the text are a little blurry, I uploaded both the image and the text as a hi res 300DPI jpeg into the cover as I didnt want to use the specific blurb templates in booksmart. they are the same size and res as the rest of the book insides and they have printed fine so not sure why these are a little fuzzy. Can you help? I am a designer by trade so am definitely sure the resolution of the cover matter is all correct, the text just looks a little fuzzy, almost as if the colours have bled a little
