why am I crashing constantly? This is not right !

Glad some of you got your patches to fix your problems. It’s January 8, 2008 now, and I am STILL having a problem with Booksmart going S L O W. The curser sometimes jumps to another line that I am not even near! I have notice when I get to othis website, it’s S L O W here! I have 5.0 on my broadband….other sites go fast. ??? I never got my book finished to publish for Christmas presents. Guess I will have to go back to MS Word and do my writing, copy and paste into Booksmart. What a pain!

default font?

I have the new 1.9.1 version and I keep getting the font Georgia size 9….I do not want that. I want TImes New Roman size 12. I keep using that consistantly, but how do I set Times New Roman as the default? It is so time consuming when everything looks great,,,,then that pesty Georgia 9 keeps creaping up….and my titles for each new chapter go back to small and not centered anymore. Help!

Can't open my book. It just freezes

The older version of booksmart I had just a couple of weeks ago was faster, not problem with the exception of not being able to add borders around pictures. Now I can all borders, IF I can even get into booksmart! It has gotten slower and slower with each passing day, and I only am on the 7th page! (I lost everything I had done on my computer previously, so I had to start over and download BookSmart again) but now it’s just impossible to run. :o(

(My third in post in 24 hours).....the older BLURG version was working better for me than this new one that I just downloaded the other day….(via computer problem, we had to start over. Hint: Do NOT ever plug in any, just any headseat jack into your earphone plug on your computer. The size was right, but we totally had to start over.) I had lost HALF by book on the version before, sadly, :o(....but damn! The new version is sooooo slow. It’s impossible. Can’t do much….it’s like being Paul Kettle on valium. Otherwise I could have had at least 1/4 of it done by now. HELP Blurb….DO SOMETHING. PLEASE.

One more thing: DEAR BLURB: PLEASE POST ALL UPDATES ON HOMEPAGE SO WE DON’T HAVE TO THUMB THROUGH THESE COMPLAINTS EVERYTIME FOR AN UPDATE. KEEP UP POSTED AT ALL TIMES. AND WE WANT HONESTY. I’D BE GLAD TO KEEP GOING WITH BLURB IF I KNOW THAT SOON I CAN GET BACK TO WORK ON MY BOOK, AS WOULD THE REST OF BLURB USERS. THANK YOU.

Here it is, October 17, 2007, and now I am having the same problem…there are two pages of people listing the same problem…two months have passed and seems there is still a major problem. I thought it was mly keyboard and almost threw it out the second story window. Any names of other online publishers simular to Blurb, but without ths "special" slow problem? I need the costs to be about the same too. My email is DanaHume@aol.com. I really need to know so I can get my dad’s autobiography out in time for Christmas. I’m not feeling well, don’t have medical coverage, and I am not an illegal alien, so I am screwed. I need to get this out just in case I have somehting medically serious! Is Blurb getting this fixed or I need name of another company that actually works. Please help.
