Apple Preview darker than Acrobat Reader?
PDF to Book

I’m not sure if this makes sense, but when I finally uploaded this book to Blurb, the preview there looked much like the darker Apple Preview version mentioned above. I don’t know what the book will look like, since the effect is semi-subtle, but I am still puzzled and frustrated.

Resizing in InDesign?
PDF to Book

I tried this and it worked well to the finished book. Obviously, if you are resizing from a 12" square to a 7" square, you have a lot of work to do resizing and reconfiguring images and text, but it is so much easier when the images and text are already on the page.

Apple Preview darker than Acrobat Reader?
PDF to Book

I was getting very frustrated that even though I had followed the color management instructions, when I exported to a PDF, most of the images for my book were noticeably darker. I was using Apple OS X Preview to view the PDF, so on a whim, tried opening it in Acrobat Reader, and everything looked much better. This only makes sense, since it is the same company as Photoshop and InDesign, but I was curious if this was a common problem and if there was a reason for the difference.

Thanks

Resizing in InDesign?
PDF to Book

I want to resize my 12×12 InDesign created book to something more affordable, but don’t want to start completely from scratch. As a shortcut, I’d like to resize the pages in File/Document Setup, say, width=486 and height=477 for a 7×7 book, which keeps my content in the neighborhood so I only need to move and resize. Will this work, or is it more complicated?

Thanks,
Don
