I published a book in March. It’s in the bookstore and was chosen as Staff pick too. Two images didn’t turn out exactly as I wanted. If I make the changes and publish , will the first one get deleted? Does it matter? Will it then appear as a new book? I’m just nervous to mess with it. Would appreciate some advice. Thanks.                                   

I got my book and was disappointed with all the mistakes. While most of the people seem to have binding or trim problems- mine were so bizarre- images duplicated , text on images, and after 50 pages the book started again, faded text and faulty binding. The customer service was great and I was given a credit right away but what I’m thinking is- Why can’t Blurb have someone flip through the book for any obvious mistakes? Yes, editing is not part of the deal but this sure would make sense and save them money too.It would definitely be more professional.Imagine all the reshipping they have to do and deal with unhappy customers .

Everything else is great so I hope the staff see this as constructive criticism.

I am a Canadian and I got my free isbn number from Library and Archives Canada but I was told I need to buy a barcode from a private company. I haven’t bought the bar code yet but found a company that sells them. Does anyone know how to drop the barcode and isbn together on the back cover?  Is it true that I can’t sell the book in bookstores or amazon without the bar code?

I think the staff can answer this question for me please. I saw a book in the bookstore by a photographer who lives in Sweden. How come he’s able to sell his book ? I thought only U.S. citizens could do that for now. Being a Canadian, I’m really interested in the answer. I just published a book and would like to announce it on Blurb and was under the impression that I will have to wait till next year when you guys sort this glitch out.

I’d like to know that too. I wanted to see how imy new book turns out so I did a softcover. If all goes well I want to make a hardcover. I thought I could just go to the covers in Booksmart- add extra information for the front anfdback flaps and then upload all over again. Is there an easier way.?
