If you follow the link in my post above you can contact Blurb, they will respond to you by e-mail. Using that form actually puts your query into their logging system and allows them to keep track of the status. That is more effective than giving out an e-mail adress which would rely on a person to log all the details.

.....Tony

The image quality would be drastically reduced using that approach, especially any text you may have on the page which would be degraded by jpeg artifacts (jaggies).

The original photos in your page would be uploaded and printed at 300dpi (or the resolution you used). The screen print of those photos would be at roughly 72dpi, no image editing software could recreate the quality of the 300dpi originals from a 72dpi file however much you resized and resampled.

.....Tony

My guess is that that will not help. It will be the total cover image that is stretched and wrapped, I would doubt that the printing process would differentiate between the background (your cover art) and the png titles.

.....Tony

Hi Steve,

the printers used for the cover and for the pages of the book are different, which is probably the cause of the difference you see. There is a FAQ on this which you will find here.

I have not worked out how to get the two images looking the same, I suspect that that is not possible due to the different printers used.

.....Tony

It is possible to contact Blurb. Go to the Help menu at the top of this page and choose Customer Support. From there choose Order Support. You will find various contact forms under Customer Support, depending on why you want to contact them.

But what you see is not an error. Once you have uploaded your book it is possible to order a copy of your book many times over many months, maybe with a softback, then a hardback with dust cover and then a hardback with imagewrap. The preview is created when you upload your book it does not change each time you order a different cover, it has to be "generic" and encompass all types of cover.

....Tony
