Web Features

I think it would be useful to allow authors to upload their own images to help sell their books. The preview of the first 15 pages may not do your book justice, plus it gives your customers a chance to see what the finished article will actually look like.

Suggested enhancements
BookSmart

One thing I would find useful would be an indexing function, maybe similar to Word, whereby a user enters an indexing item in the main body, and it then gets listed in correct alphaberic order at the back with the correct page reference, the page reference being corrected if pages are inserted or removed. Includes sub-entrries, cross-references, bold (for picture refs for example) etc.

 What do yoi think?

Does bookmaking influence your photography?
Book Design and Imaging

I do a lot of motorsport photography, and I take photos speciifcaly with publication in mind. I make sure I have "stock" shots of each car, from different angles, portraits of drivers where possible, and good racing shots, plus vertically framed shots to stick on text pages.

Several versions of the same book?
General Interest

Alternatively, publish your book, but leave white space or blank "notes" boxes for each picture or page, for readers to write/stick their own notes in.

How can I move an entire page from one booksmart book to another?
Tips and Tricks

Suggestion – export the book and re-import it as a different book (i.e. create  ane wbook and impoprt the book you exported). Delete the stuff you don’t want out of the first book, then delete the stuff out of the second book you don’t want.

Book Design and Imaging

Also if you haven’t got Photoshop, Irfanview (google it) has good resizing options and a brilliant batch interface.
