ISBN's for our books?
General Interest

The ISBN (International Standard Book Number)
Have I missed something on blurb?  How do we get ISBN’s for our books?
Actually, a better question: who do we get that number associated with our Blurb published books? Is it possible?

Let me aslo add; Lets fix the FORUM so I can Copy and Paste from Microsoft Word…without all the TAGS!

Fixing a photo after it has been published
BookSmart

Well I think that is a total silly way to do business. The books sold on Blurb represent the market brand name.  If they make it difficult to correct books, people will decide to leave “mistakes” in their book.  (Referring to images that don’t look right or simple typos.)  Thus, a poor image for the brand.

They should make it easier to make changes; update a copyright notice, change a photo, or correct a spelling mistake…without having to spend more of our own money.

Fixing a TYPO in a published book
BookSmart

I have spent two hours searching your forum pages looking for the answer to my question. No luck! I did find an answer in the FAQ’s pages, but it’s a bit confusing and not complete. “Can I make changes to my book once I’ve uploaded it to Blurb?” Please answer this question/problem for me: I uploaded a book and ordered a copy and set up my pages to sell the book. Now I see one tiny word typo that needs to be corrected. It’s a small thing that I’m sure will be overlooked, but I want to correct it. The book it 95% Photography not words. Can I remove my current book (Switzerland A Photographic Journey) and replace it with the corrected page…all this without having to repurchase a new edition/version of the same book I just purchased two days ago? Please provide details on how I should proceed.

I have the same question, but my problem is a misspelled word that needs to be corrected. I hope I don’t ahve to spend $50 to buy a new book just to fix one word.(?)

I totally understand I will have to upload a new book (to make the changes) but do I have to start from scratch and make a new purchase to get the ball rolling? Please someone answer this wtih complete details.

Thanks, Les
