Embellishments or ornamental rule lines
Tips and Tricks

Hi,

I don’t know if this is what you mean but I make my own in Photoshop (or import them in PS) and then save it as a JPEG file and then import them in Booksmart . Don’t forget to make a Image container instead of a Text container beforehand

 Cheers,

Dick

Using nikSharpener Pro 3.0 what settings
Book Design and Imaging

Hi Colin,

Straight from the horse’s mouth as it were …I posed the same question  after a Nik webinar and the presenter spent some time with it . The settings are (with the output sharpener module)

Output sharpening : Halftone

Viewing distance : Auto

Paper type :Coated

Printer resolution: 175 LPI

After that,  if the spirit moves you  , you can do your own "creative shapening" but don’t go beyond 100 % .

 Hope this helps !

Cheers,

Dick

Quick check of which ICC profile is embedded
Tips and Tricks

Dear All,

Nearly finished with my book and  of course I forgot (#!*& ! ) to check if the photo’s have the Blurb ICC profile. Is there a way to quickly check them all apart from opening every file individually  in PS . In Bridge you can do this with the sRGB or Adobe RGB  profile.

Thanks in advance.!

Dick
