Booksmart 1.9.9 PHENOMENALLY unstable
BookSmart

Matthew -

BTW – I am working on the  same Mac – also editing in CS3.   Maybe Blurb doesn’t like Macs – or, PhotoShop CS3.   I do!

Matthew,

what exactly do you mean by "crashing?"

I can’t even find my book to work on – it’s at 1.3 gigs 160+ pgs, I’ve been working on it for 2 months (also 1.9.9)  and has disappeared!   Is that "crashing?"

Don't wasts your money here!
Tips and Tricks

I’ve posted on the subject previously but as I’m now in the process of putting together a book that I care a great deal about I’ve decided  to make sure my images are NOT going to appear darker than I’d like.  THEREFORE – I’ve started a folder where I drop the images that I’ve lightened – just for the book.  This is useful, as it is true, if an original image is dark it will be darker in the Blurb book.  I, personally, work relatively dark – but Blurb prints already  dark images much darker than is acceptable – SO, my  advice is to simply lighten up your images that are questionable and they’ll print fine in your book.

upload!
BookSmart

I know there are discussions re. upolading in the forum – however,  I am REALLY frustrated and wanted to put in my 2 cents.   The upload started, images were fine, processing was fine, uploading megs….went on for 2 – 3 HOURS and I was happy as by the time it reached 149 megs aout of 153 I felt confident I’d done it….NO!   it cut out on me at 149 with a message about sequencing…..huh?  WHAT is the problem?
