Cover text disappeared!

I had a beautifully polished cover design, complete with flap text, cover formatting of photographs, and back cover text, and I decided to try one of the other layouts just to see what it looked like, and everyhting disappeared, I lost my flap text, which I had worked several hours polishing. I foolishly exited thinking it was a screen refresh problem. It is all gone, all that work. What happened? It’s going to take me hours to redo all this work!

Image sizing for 10x8 landscape and 7x7

I will be editing my images for a 10×8 landscape and 7×7, are there any photoshop templates available for sizing images? If not can someone tell me what the maximum pixel size is for these pages. I will not be doing full bleed but want to maintain a small white border around my images, and would like to size my images so that they are not resized by the booksmart software to fit the page. I’m trying to maintain the best quality, so have the soft proofing profile for the indigo printer, and have read up on the srgb conversion. Any tips on sharpening the images for output, I normally use pixelgenius’s output sharpener.
